Dogs
Can I bring my dog? Is the property fenced?
We welcome well-behaved dogs at both cabins. The backyard in Amaruq is fully fenced to 1.8mt, with access to the fenced decking. It is secure but by no means escape-proof for a determined artist. Cuan Den does NOT have secure fencing. We request that pets not be left alone at the cabin or allowed on the furniture.
How many dogs can I bring?
We allow up to 2 dogs, but please contact us to discuss suitability if you were wanting to bring a larger pack.
Any size/breed restrictions?
Nope! We welcome all dogs. Please consider if an environment with lots of visible wildlife is suitable for your dog if they have a high prey drive. We also ask that dogs are NOT left alone at the cabin.
What do I need to bring for my dog?
We provide outdoor trampoline beds, food/water bowls, and poo bags for the backyard. You'll need to pack whatever your dog likes to sleep on, their food, and leash.
Mt Buller
Does it snow at the cabin? Do I need a 4wd or wheel chains?
It very rarely snows at the cabin, as we are not above the snowline. Please do not book expecting to be staying in the snowfields. The roads to Sawmill settlement are all made, so a 4wd isn't needed. Wheel chains are mandatory for ALL vehicles passing the entrance gates at Mirimbah in Winter. Further details on chain hire and requirements can be found here:

How do I get to Mt Buller from the cabin if I don't want to drive?
You can use several options to reach Mt Buller without driving:
- Mansfield Mt Buller Bus Lines - Regular bus services from Mansfield to Mt Buller.
- Mt Buller Taxi - Local taxi service to take you directly to Mt Buller.
- Weekend Car Park Shuttle Service - Shuttle service between the car park and the ski village (operates during peak season).
- High Country Scenic Tours - Scenic tours of the area, including Mt Buller transport.
- Double Black Alpine - Transport and tour services to Mt Buller. Snowgum Express - Comfortable shuttle services to Mt Buller from nearby areas.
Where can I hire chains and gear?
You can hire chains and other snow gear from the following locations:

Accommodation
What is the check-in and check-out time?
Check-in is from 4:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM. If you need to arrange an early check-in or late check-out, please contact us in advance, and we'll do our best to accommodate your request.
Can I have an early check-in/late check-out?
Outside of the winter season, we try to accommodate these requests where possible. However, during peak season, we cannot, as we need to ensure that our cleaners have enough time to prepare the cabins between bookings.
Is linen and towels provided?
Yes! We provide all bedding and towels.
What consumables are provided?
The cabins are stocked with coffee bags and pods, a variety of teas, hot chocolate, UHT milk, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
Do you supply firewood?
Yes, we have a fully stocked woodshed.
